The 2021 Hyundai Palisade Has Arrived
The 2021 Hyundai Palisade has arrived in Fort Myers. As the latest in the Palisade model build, it comes in four different SUV trims: SE, SEL, Limited and Calligraphy.
In order of mention, the SE trim is the entry trim while the Calligraphy trim sits atop the food chain. The Calligraphy trim, asides being the top trim, is the newest addition to the Palisade model. Pricing for any of these trims ranges between $33,665 and $48,890 (respectively, each trim is priced as $33,665, $36,315, $46,265 and $48,990).

Across these trims, the Palisade powertrain is built to accelerate from 0mph to 60mph in 0.1 seconds less than 7 seconds (6.9 seconds is the exact figure) via a 3.8L V6 engine, an eight-speed automatic transmission and a horsepower capped at 291hp. Additionally, Front Wheel Drive is the default for all the trims except for the Calligraphy trim which has the All Wheel Drive as the default while relegating this same drivetrain mode as an option for the SE, SEL and Limited trims.
With its three row seater – as mentioned earlier – the 2021 Palisade has the capacity to seat 7-8 passengers at a go while still providing a great level of comfort and luxury to them. There is enough room for tall passengers as well. And when it comes to the cabin-trunk relationship, these three row seats can be adjusted to complement what is obtainable in the trunk. For starters, the third row could be folded to add an extra 28 cubic ft to the trunk’s 18 cubic ft of cargo space, thereby increasing the total available cargo space to 46 cubic ft; the seats on the second row could also be folded forward for an addition of 68 cubic ft to the default 18 cubic ft of cargo space in the trunk, thereby increasing the total available cargo space to 86 cubic ft.
The go-to technology and safety features herein this vehicle includes Lane-Departure Warning system (with Lane-Keeping Assist), Adaptive Cruise Control and an Automated Emergency Braking system (with Pedestrian Detection); of course, as you climb up the trim ladder, Hyundai treats you to more advanced features in the Palisade for which it earned a Top Safety Pick+ by the IIHS and a 5 star safety rating by the NHTSA.
Entertainment cuts across different operating systems with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay installed in every trim through the 8” infotainment system (for SE and SEL) and 10” infotainment system (for Limited and Calligraphy); the 10” is available as one of the choices in the Palisade SEL. Bluetooth tech, remote locking and unlocking plus auto start powered by Hyundai’s Blue Link with assists from Google Assistant and Alexa are other tech features.
